Légère Classic synthetic reed

Légère makes its reeds from polypropylene oriented at a molecular level, which allows precise control over the density and stiffness of the blade. The reed does not absorb moisture: it can be played without soaking and responds evenly across all registers, whatever the climate. The Classic is the brand’s original design, known for its immediate response and projection.

It tends to be useful as a backup reed, for outdoor playing, long rehearsals or any situation where a cane reed might let you down. For daily practice and concert performance, cane reeds, which can be profiled to suit each player, are usually preferred, such as the Arúnval reeds in the shop.
