What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that websites store on a user’s device when they visit them. They allow the site to remember preferences or analyse browsing behaviour.
El Mundo Fagotero does not set its own cookies or any analytics cookies. We only store your theme preference and whether you closed the install prompt or the notifications prompt in your browser, which is strictly necessary and does not require consent under Directive 2002/58/EC (ePrivacy) and the GDPR. That is why we do not show a consent banner. If we ever add non-essential cookies, we will update this policy and ask for your prior consent.

Technical storage
This is essential for the Site to work and does not require consent. It contains no personal data and is never sent to any server.

Cookie-free visit, click, search and prompt counting
To count visits we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies, does not use local storage, does not store your IP address and does not track you across visits: it only provides aggregated counts of page views, referrers, country, device and loading speed. That is why it does not require consent either.
We also anonymously count clicks on affiliate links (which product, on which page and from which element) to learn which recommendations are useful, and in the same way the downloads, MuseScore opens and video plays of the scores and the text typed into the site’s search boxes (scores, shop…), and how many times the prompts to turn on notifications are seen and clicked. It uses no cookies and stores neither your IP address nor any identifier. More details in the Privacy Policy.
Notifications (push alerts)
If you turn notifications on, the browser registers a service worker from the Site (/sw.js, a small program that receives the alerts and displays them) and creates a subscription with its push service. These are not cookies, they do not read your browsing and are not used to track you: they only deliver the alerts you asked for. None of this happens unless you turn them on. You can turn them off at any time from the menu, the Notifications page or the browser settings; the data stored is explained in the Privacy Policy.
Third-party cookies (Amazon)
When you click on an Amazon affiliate link, Amazon may install its own session and conversion tracking cookies on your device. These cookies are managed entirely by Amazon and are subject to its own privacy policy.
