The BG harness spreads the weight of the bassoon across the shoulders and back instead of loading it all onto the neck, which helps keep a more relaxed posture while practising. This version is designed for the female figure: the centre straps sit closer together, the shoulder pads are wider and the hook is slightly offset to the right.
